Checking in With People in Your Life

In many cases our focus is on our family and friends and their health at this moment. But, checking in on your employees, giving them an opportunity to be heard, express concerns or worries, is what great leaders do. Whether that is a group setting or 1:1s, or a combination of both. Don’t assume your employees are fine if you don’t hear from them. Now is a time to overcommunicate.

You don’t have to solve anything, and you don’t have to tell them everything is going to be fine. But you can reassure them that you are doing your best, everything in your power, to continue on in this moment. You can be honest and tell them you are a scared too, but you are choosing action over fear. Then show them the action.
